Minecraft Freezes Every Few Seconds

Alright, so over the course of me playing modded minecraft i've run into various issues and i fixed most of them but the issue with my mc freezing every few seconds i could never fix. My java is up to date, so i'm pretty sure. (delete optifine from your mods folder then run minecraft, quit the game and download optifine and put it in.

Whenever i open minecraft and play it for 20 mins or so, it runs fine.

So as the title says, it freezes, then only works for 1 frame, and freezes again.

I have looked through everything and had several tests and couldn't find what it was until i did a superflat world. I've tried increasing ram, turning off vsync, removing the resource pack, and toggling some of the mods that i thought might be the culprit.

I’m playing in 1.12.2 with a few mods, and every few seconds, my fps goes from a steady 60 to 0, causing my game to freeze for a short period.
