If you look in the minecraft menu under options then video settings you should see use vbos this is supposed to increase your fps 5 to 10%. When vbos are on, the world isn't fully loaded, resulting in better fps for some. Disabling vbo is necessary for lower spec laptops as the game just crashes as soon as a world is loaded otherwise.

I'm trying to make a opengl voxel engine similar to minecraft.
Minecraft community on reddit members online.
The snapshot update says that enabling vertex buffer objects should increase your fps by 5% to 10% on. In the 14w29b snapshot there is a new option in the video settings menu called use vbos: Sources code of my vbo's realisation is here: In this video i try to explain what the new vbo's option is in minecraft 1.8 and give you a little bit of a comparison.
I've been writing an experimental app in which i render 100 chunks of 16x16x16 cubes using vbo. I'm not seeing it anywhere. It is one of the many options that you can find inside your graphic/video settings in video games. Minecraft 1.14+ enables vbos by default.

I've got same error all time if i'm using vbo (see below). Hey, i recently upgraded my pc to windows 10 for study reasons, but i have. The solution for versions prior to 1.14 was to turn off vbo's but now that the option has lapsed, optifine is the best workaround for me. While accessing minecraft’s settings, you may have noticed an option called “vbos”.
Straight to the point, where is the option previously called enable vbo in the latest snapshot of minecraft (19w06a)? Do not quote me on anythi. It's been removed on purpose and vbo will now always be used. I have created a chunk class and i want to put all of the vertices for the whole chunk into a single vbo.
Vsync limits your framerate to your monitor's refresh rate so the game doesn't waste power generating more frames than it needs, and prevents a visual glitch.
I'm doing this because a dozen people have praised.
